ERA 1 START
Era 1 starts Thursday, July 16, at 1 PM GMT/UTC (8 AM EDT, 5 AM PDT).
PREPARATION
Follow the tutorial for maximum benefits. Do NOT click any medals if you are planning on using 125 gold for the starter pack. If you do not plan on using the starter pack, then proceed normally.
If you are planning on using the starter pack, please proceed with the build plan listed under Era 1 under Station Goals.
ENGINE HOUSE
The engine house can be upgraded to level 7 for a total cost of $1,262,000 ($662,000 if using starter pack when you start building EH 6).
This is your number one priority when era 1 starts. Keep in mind these EH upgrades take several hours to build, so plenty of time to stockpile your cash. Max number of engines in Era 1 are 7.
TRAINS
Goal: FALCON
Tractive Force: 3 (max: 4)
Reliability: 60% (max: 60%)
Acceleration: 13/20 (max: 19/20)
Speed: 140 km/h (max: 160 km/h)
Purchase Cost: $135,000 (with all upgrades $320,000)
Spaces taken in EH: 1
What should you do before Falcons? Some people go for fully-upgraded swallows since they are almost equivalent to a non-upgraded Rhino. Some people go straight for Rhinos. Some people even like Donkeys (hear that Strk?). But the best speed can be found on the falcon. Keep in mind you have to research mole fully before you can start and finish coupling for Era 1.
The bonus engines this era are the Red Kite and the Dragonfly.
RED KITE
Tractive Force: 6
Reliability: 95%
Acceleration: 6/20
Speed: 100 km/h
